Woodwind Instruction

 We offer private lessons on all saxophones, clarinet and flute.   Emphasis is placed on counting, reading, rhythmic awareness and sound development. Those students who have an understanding of the basics and facility on their instrument will be taught more advanced concepts such as theory,   improvisational techniques, harmonic sense and melody awareness.   The goal with these students is to prepare them for ensemble playing either through groups we offer, or on their own with fellow musicians.   David Wells is the head of our woodwind department, and also specializes offering jazz theory lessons on all instruments.
