Larry Williams

           Larry Williams received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education in 1989 and his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies in 2007 from the University of Southern Maine.  Today, he teaches music at Poland Regional High School and Whittier Middle School. With 20 years of teaching and professional playing experience, Larry brings a diverse background of musical knowledge and a solid work ethic to the band.  Although his main instrument is saxophone, he also plays bass when the opportunity arises. Performance credits include appearances with Clark Terry, Frank Foster, Denis DiBlasio and The Temptations. Additionally, Larry appears regularly with The Portland Jazz Orchestra and performs with his own trio.
