Alan King Sr is a graduate of Westbrook High School. He then studied Business and Music Education at the University of Southern Maine. Alan has performed with such names as the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, Gene Krupa Tribute Band, Luther “guitar” Johnson, Denis Diblasio, and The Temptations. During this time, Alan also managed the Tony Boffa Music Agency.  Not only has Alan been an instructor throughout So. Maine, but also in Port Charlotte, Florida, The University School For The Gifted and Talented, and The University Of Southern Maine. He has been an Adjudicator for So. Maine Music Festival, Maine State Jazz Competition, So. Maine Solo Ensemble Festival, So. Maine Honors Band Festivals, and Maine All State Music Festival. He has performed with Bands, Orchestras, Quintets, and Big Bands too numerous to mention. Alan has also been a Brass Clinician throughout New England. He currently is the head of the Brass Department and an Ensemble instructor at the Tony Boffa School of Contemporary Music.
